Service Description

At THE POTTERY PLACE we offer beginner pottery classes in a fun and supportive studio, where no prior skills are needed. Enjoy the therapeutic properties of clay as you experience the pottery wheel. Our classes focus on the process and provide the opportunity to be mindful and escape the stress of daily life. Everything you need is supplied. This includes your own pottery wheel, the use of a pottery apron to help protect your clothes and all the clay and glazes you need. The firing of two pieces is included in the cost of the lesson and additional pieces can be fired for the price of $5.00. If you are attending multiple sessions, you will be guided through the process of trimming and glazing your pots. Alternatively If required your pots will be processed for you, ready to be collected within a few weeks. You will be contacted by email when they come out of the kiln. Please note that comfortable clothing and shorter fingernails will make potting easier for you.
